Tohoku Shinkansen temporarily halted operation; abnormality indicator on running gear illuminates (Kyodo News)

At around 8:15 pm on the 18th, the Tohoku Shinkansen Hayabusa/Komachi 39 bound for Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto and Akita from Tokyo was stopped due to an abnormality being detected in the vehicle's running gear while traveling between Nasushiobara and Shin-Shirakawa, and operations were temporarily suspended on both the inbound and outbound lines between Tokyo and Sendai. Service resumed on the entire line at around 10:40 pm.
