Togo: Political Prisoners Start Hunger Strike · Global Voices

In Togo, at Lomé Civil Prison, Abdoul Aziz Goma, an Irish citizen of Togolese origin, announced on Wednesday 27 August the start of an unlimited hunger strike. Arrested in December 2018 during protests against the government and sentenced this year to ten years in prison, he could be joined in the next few days by other detainees.
