Tennessee Senator Admits to Sending Unsolicited Nude Photos, Calls Them ‘Youthful Indiscretions’
Taylor said he sent the photos to one woman and called them past indiscretions as his congressional race enters its final week.
- On Tuesday, Tennessee State Senator Brent Taylor acknowledged sending unsolicited nude photos, dismissing the behavior as "youthful indiscretions" despite one sent as recently as 2021 when he was 53.
- The Nashville Scene reported Tuesday that multiple sources received or saw the images. Taylor, now 58, has been married for 30 years and publicly presents himself as a conservative Christian, creating tension with the allegations.
- Calling the actions "very disturbing," Democratic State Representative Justin Pearson accused Taylor of abusing his power. Pearson argued that public officials must respect women rather than sexually harass or exploit them.
- Taylor told WREG on Tuesday that his wife and God have forgiven him, further claiming his opponent would be "an ongoing public embarrassment" if elected to represent Tennessee's 9th Congressional District.
- With only 7 days until the November 3 election, Taylor remains the frontrunner in the 9th District race. Polls show him leading Pearson in the district, which was redrawn earlier this year.
