- The federal government proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan under the Anti-Terrorism Act in October, citing Ministry of Interior's reasonable grounds linking the party to terrorism after deadly pro-Gaza rally clashes.
- A circulated video and recorded speech provided central evidence in the case, showing Shah offering 10 million rupees and naming 1,500 party workers in the FIR.
- The ATC judge Arshad Javed announced the verdict after completing the trial registered in 2024, convicting Shah on Monday in Lahore.
- Taken together, the verdict follows the government’s recent move to proscribe the TLP and targets senior leadership after calls for violence, officials say, while 1,500 party workers are named in the FIR and Saad Rizvi remains missing.
