A family was returning home to Surin Province to vote in the Subdistrict Administrative Organization election when their taxi rear-ended a ten-wheeler truck on Pathum Thani 2 Bridge. The accident resulted in three fatalities, including the driver and two passengers, and injured one other person.
At 2:00 AM on January 12, 2026, Pol. Lt. Nitirut Nojrattitham, Deputy Investigator of Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station, received a report of a serious accident involving a taxi rear-ending a ten-wheel truck carrying tapioca starch. Several people were killed and injured, trapped inside the taxi, on the Pathum Thani 2 Bridge, Highway 345, kilometer 13, heading towards Bang Bua Thong, Ban Mai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Pathum Thani Province.
