An explosion followed by a fast-moving fire tore through a senior apartment complex in the center of Vlissingen late Tuesday, injuring three people and causing extensive damage to homes, vehicles, and nearby buildings, authorities said.
Three people were injured in the explosion and subsequent fire on Schutterijstraat in Vlissingen, the safety region reports. One of the injured was taken to the hospital by ambulance and had to be removed from the house using a cherry picker.
