Media organizations are worried about the threat of a lawsuit for the recording of the incident in front of RTS

The Coalition for Media Freedom and the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) today expressed their concern regarding the "series of warnings before the lawsuit" that the legal team sent to numerous newsrooms due to the alleged violation of copyright and moral rights in connection with the video that is part of the coverage of the events in front of the RTS building on March 11, 2025.

A large number of independent media outlets were warned before being sued for publishing a video showing a member of the Gendarmerie hitting a plainclothes policeman during the blockade of RTS on March 11.
