The Western Wall Heritage Foundation’s data reveals notes sent from over 140 countries, including particularly moving and surprising notes sent from citizens living in hostile countries such as Iran, Yemen, and Lebanon, carrying prayers for peace and reconciliation. Tens of thousands of prayer notes were sent in the past year from 140 countries to be buried among the stones of the Western Wall. Among the notes: moving prayers for peace between peoples sent from hostile countries, alongside notes buried by world leaders, IDF soldiers, Israeli citizens and tourists (in Israel).
