The undersigned professionals thus responded to the call of Palestinian filmmakers for the international film industry to reject silence, racism and dehumanization, and to do everything possible to end complicity in Palestinian oppression.
More than 1,300 film industry workers, including Oscar winners Olivia Colman and Tilda Swinton, made a declaration on Monday refusing to cooperate with Israeli film institutions linked to the "genocide of the Palestinian people," the Guardian reported.
Among those who supported the initiative are the winners of the Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, Emmy, Cannes, Berlin, Venice and other top awards. In particular, the actors Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix, Tilda Swinton and others.
