This lizard species stress-eats to cope with noisy US Army aircraft
A new study finds that noise pollution from low-flying fighter jets may cause health problems for people living near BWI. Colorado checkered whiptails, an all-female species that reproduce asexually, endure considerable noise from U.S. Army flyovers. The lizards also had a coping strategy: They moved less, and they ate more.
