Third illegal cigarette seizure for Dalkeith retailer

A Dalkeith retailer has had over 13,000 illegal cigarettes seized across three separate visits from Midlothian Council’s Trading Standards team, aided by Police Scotland and Consumer Protection Dogs UK. The latest visit took place this summer and saw 3,620 illegal cigarettes and 800g of tobacco seized. The stash was found after dismantling cupboards in the back area, which had a magnetic operation.
