Heavy rainfall has hit Warsaw. Water flooded a garage in an apartment building in Białołęka. With weather forecasts predicting downpours and gales, the Warsaw Police Headquarters has issued an appeal to Warsaw residents and drivers.
Warsaw police officers took to social media to urge drivers and residents of the capital to monitor weather conditions and exercise caution. "In the event of heavy rainfall, vehicles should be removed from underground parking lots as water levels may continue to rise," they warned. According to TVN24, water has already entered the garage of an apartment building in Białołęka.
The Genoese low has reached Poland and will bring intense, long-lasting rainfall. Lower Silesia, which suffered severely during floods last year, will also be affected. The forecasts are particularly worrying for residents of Stronie Śląskie, where the damaged dam has not yet been rebuilt.
