At least 19 content creators were murdered in eight Mexican states between 2024 and August 2026, according to a count by El Universal. Sinaloa was the epicenter of the violence, accounting for eight of the cases, followed by Guerrero with three, Jalisco and Nuevo León with two each, and Baja California, Chiapas, Morelos, and Guanajuato with one homicide per state.
