"There is no planned meeting. There is a readiness of the French Presidency to make one," said the Head of State during an exchange with a journalist from the AFP on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Donald Trump had previously published a screenshot of a copy of Macron's announcement of a meeting. The Élysée Palace confirmed the authenticity of the message.
The G7 meeting in Paris will not take place, Emmanuel Macron announced.
