Gutiérrez Luna announced that he will send a letter to the Internal Control Body to say that “there is no greater interest in this matter.”
The case dates back to a session of the General Council in 2021 in which a majority of six councillors – including their then president, Lorenzo Córdova – decided to temporarily postpone the organisation of the consultation on the revocation of the mandate.
Morena's federal deputy, Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, ignored the complaint he filed in 2021 against the INE council members who voted to suspend the Revocation of Mandate of then President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, assuring that it is a “surpassed” matter and that he did not even remember to have filed it; he added that he would send a letter to the INE's ICN in order to close the case.
