The organizers of the 29th Youth Meeting in Lednica ordered the evacuation of participants for their safety.
More than 800 reports related to the removal of the effects of violent weather phenomena were received by firefighters on Saturday by 10:30 p.m. The element did not prove to be as destructive as in recent days. Nevertheless, the bad weather led to, among other things, the interruption of the Youth Meeting in Lednica.
At approximately 8 p.m. the Archdiocese of Gniezno announced that for the safety of the participants, the organizers of the 29th Youth Meeting in Lednica ordered the evacuation of people gathered in the Lednica Fields.
The organizers of the XXIX Youth Meeting Lednica 2000 ordered the evacuation of the event participants for their safety, the Catholic Press Agency reported. The faithful had to leave the famous fields on Saturday evening.
Due to heavy rainfall on Saturday evening, the XXIX National Youth Meeting Lednica 2000 organized at the Lednica Fields was interrupted. This is the first such case in the history of the event. According to the organizers, about 21 thousand people took part in this year's Lednica.
Over 20 thousand young people gathered on Saturday (7th June) at the Lednica Fields as part of the XXIX Youth Meeting Lednica 2000. However, in the evening the event was interrupted due to the weather breakdown. An evacuation of participants was ordered, who were ordered to leave the Lednica Fields and go to buses. This is the first case of this type in the history of the event.
