'The Voice' crowns its Season 29 winner
Alexia Jayy becomes the first Black woman to win 'The Voice,' while coach Adam Levine returns for Season 30 after securing his fourth victory.
On Tuesday, April 14, Alexia Jayy won Season 29 of NBC's The Voice, guided by coach Adam Levine in the 'Battle of Champions' finale.

Jayy, a 31-year-old from Irvington, Alabama, secured victory with performances of Patti LaBelle's 'Lady Marmalade' and Adele's 'One and Only,' becoming the first African-American woman to win the show.
As champion, Jayy receives a $100,000 cash prize, a Universal Music Group recording contract, and an Artist Launch home studio kit. She releases her single 'Rent Free' on Wednesday, April 15.
Following the finale, NBC announced The Voice will return for Season 30 this fall, with Levine confirmed to return as a coach after winning his fourth competition title.
