The Venice Commission considers that the draft law on Lithuanian Radio and Television (LRT) should not be adopted in its current form. The Commission doubts whether the law, which has passed the submission stage, is compatible with the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights and European standards on the independence and financing of public service media.
