US says it doesn't feel responsible for migrant tragedy

The US said it does not feel responsible for the death of the 40 migrants in Ciudad Jurez, in the face of reports from activists.

The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, insisted that this episode “causes us a lot of pain because of the death of people in the migratory station in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and the priority recovery of 28 injured people.”

Journalist Jesús Esquivel said that the spokesman for the United States Security Council offered assistance to the Mexican Government in the tragedy in Ciudad Juárez, however, he did not assume his responsibility. He added that the reopening of the Kiki Camarena case is only in a court case.
