The new operating contract has been signed: the previous concessionaire will operate the affected road section for another eleven years for 44 billion forints.
The state will save approximately 105 billion forints on the operation of the section of the M6 motorway between Érditető and Dunaújváros by extending the agreement with its previous concession partner by 11 years for a fraction of the amount included in the previous plans. Minister of Transport and Investment Dávid Vitézy reported on the details of the agreement in his Facebook post.
The M6 Danube Motorway Concession Company undertook the task for 44 billion for 11 years.
The entire MKIF concession contract will be terminated.

The concessionaire will remain, but for much less than the previous government originally thought. That contract was for 35 years, until 2057, but by reducing the fees to be paid by 11 years, the savings amount to 105 billion forints, announced Dávid Vitézy.
