Former elite prosecutor Dušan Kováčik, who was serving an eight-year sentence in prison for corruption and for revealing classified facts, was released from prison on Wednesday. The execution of his sentence was suspended until the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic decides on the appeal filed in his favor.
The execution of Kovacik's sentence was suspended by Justice Minister Boris Susko after the former prosecutor filed an appeal in his case.
