‘The Simpsons Hit & Run’ remake rumours are alive again
- Earlier this week, Radical Entertainment relaunched as New Radical Games and a new website was discovered, highlighting legacy titles including The Simpsons: Hit & Run.
- Built from the ashes of Radical Entertainment and Hothead Games, the new studio formed after Radical was gutted by Activision and Hothead bankruptcy in 2024, led by CEO Ian Wilkinson and COO Tim Bennison.
- Fans and modders noticed updated credits and test maps for The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Prototype, and the inclusion of Iron Galaxy in recent datamine findings.
- Fans immediately expressed excitement and pleas for remasters after the relaunch, urging New Radical Games to remaster The Simpsons: Hit & Run, while a 2025 report and IGN's late-2024 findings fueled Prototype remake speculation.
- Licensing hurdles mean re-releases would need Disney's sign‑off, and the studio's long dormancy plus a 2022 report of six employees may limit remaster prospects.
