'The Rings of Power': Here's When Season 3 Hits Prime Video
On Monday, Amazon Prime Video announced Season Three of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on Nov. 11, 2026, during the Amazon Upfront presentation in New York City.
Maintaining a 2-year cadence, the series explores the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord, having debuted in 2022 with Season Two following in 2024.
Season Three features a time jump of "several years," Prime Video confirmed, placing the narrative at the height of the war of the Elves and Sauron as the Dark Lord crafts the One Ring.
The series has attracted over 185 million viewers worldwide and remains one of Amazon's strongest drivers for new Prime membership signups, Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, stated.
Showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay continue their quest to complete the five-season order as characters confront the "long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth" throughout the Second Age.
The third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be available starting November 11. Streaming service Prime Video announced this on Tuesday. Like the first two seasons, the series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
