On Thursday, the Senate approved the extension of the previsional moratorium and an increase of 7.2% in retirement payments. The vote was roll-call and had 39 affirmative votes, 14 negative votes and 1 abstention, with 53 senators present. After the vote in which the increase in retirements, the extension of the previsional moratorium and the disability emergency were approved, the national senator appreciated that these projects have been discussed and “not adjustments like when you are in the Bullrich government.”
The Senate made the bill for the return of the pre-visional moratorium, a program that allowed workers to retire without having the 30 years of contributions through the purchase of the missing periods.In the same vein, it gave the green light for the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) to increase retirees' assets by 7.2% and increase the bonus that has been frozen since March 2024.
