The President vetoed the law on student ombudsmen and the law on maritime transport. He also signed five bills and referred one to the Constitutional Tribunal.
Two bills were vetoed by President Karol Nawrocki. One concerned the introduction of a "Student Ombudsman." The other implemented Green's proposals. In addition, the president signed several bills, and one was referred to the Constitutional Tribunal for preventive review.
President Karol Nawrocki signed five laws passed by Parliament.
President Karol Nawrocki announced on Thursday that he had vetoed the law on student rights and responsibilities, which, among other things, would have catalogued these rights and established a network of ombudsmen, including the National Student Ombudsman. According to Nawrocki, the law fails to protect rights and increases bureaucracy.
