The Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie organized its 49th Session in Montreal, in the presence of around 400 participants representing 49 sections of the French-speaking world. During this event, which took place from 5 to 10 July, at the invitation of the Parliament of Canada, Pondicherry, Angola and Cyprus joined the Assembly at the invitation of the Parliament of Canada.
