As soon as she hears that the migration bus arrives, Ruth hides as she can her little children and lies in bed. She knows what they are going to do to her. The Spanish newspaper El País recently published an alarming report on alleged sexual violence suffered by Haitian women in Punta Cana. According to the testimonies collected, some migrants were raped by Dominican migration agents, in exchange for the promise not to be deported to Haiti.
