Fidesz Would Further Tighten the Transparency Bill

The government would already take 1% of the tax offered this year from those organizations that will be listed by the Office for the Protection of Sovereignty. This is what the parliamentary justice committee voted on today. The amendment to the transparency law was submitted by the same János Halász who submitted the bill itself. However, it was not he who stood up to debate, but Tünde Szabó, the state secretary responsible for sports.

The Judiciary Committee approved the amendment with eight votes in favor and three against, according to which 1 percent of the tax can be taken from listed civilians as early as this year.

Fidesz would further tighten the transparency bill - Another issue would be clarified with the amendment.

An anonymous government proposal would rewrite the controversial "transparency" law on 41 points. The most important change is that even the 1 percent donations awarded this year will be rejected by organizations that have not yet been included in the government's enemies list.
