Many years ago, the melting waters of the Ice Age in Lithuania deeply eroded the earth, creating a Lithuanian canyon of unparalleled beauty – the Dūkšta Stream Valley. Here, in the forested and winding valley, not only rare plant and animal species found their home, but also unique witnesses of the past – the Bradeliškės and Buivydai hillforts and the pyramid-like Karmazinų alkakalnis.
