The Budapest Pride Parade ended tonight after participants walked from the park near the City Hall, across the Elizabeth Bridge to the other side of the city.
The 30th Budapest Pride, now called the Budapest Pride March as an event of the capital city government, began on Saturday afternoon. The far-right Mi Hazánk and the Hatvannégy Vármegye Youth Movement are also protesting against the event.
The 30th Budapest Pride was held under the name Budapest Pride. According to Gergely Karácsony, the crowd did not look like what was banned. When the beginning of the march reached the stage in front of the University of Technology, the end was still at Deák Square, so the Erzsébet Bridge was filled to overflowing for a long time. Mi Hazánk demonstrated against the marchers with a handful of people.
Protesters risked possible police intervention and heavy fines to participate in the 30th annual edition of the Budapest Pride.
