Fifteen post-1965 buildings nominated to become new national momuments
The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Nehterlands (RCE) has started the process of designating national monuments from the post-1965 period. Fifteen locations have been nominated, from a high-tech train station to a barrier-free event hall. “With these youngest national monuments in the Netherlands, the designation of an entirely new generation of national monuments has begun,” the RCE said.
The Hubertushuis, the former nursing home on Plantage Middenlaan, has been nominated by the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) to become a new national monument. It is one of fifteen buildings in the Netherlands that could receive this status. The Hubertushuis was completed in 1978 and is initially also called the Mother House.
