Shortly after Ukraine called on Russia for a 30-day ceasefire, the Kremlin indicated that they could not be broken and were already considering how to minimize the sanctions being prepared against them.

Russia will not agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine as long as Western countries supply Ukraine with weapons, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated, and then said that his country cannot be intimidated by the prospect of new Western sanctions.
