Local police said that Captain Arban Anamli, 51, jumped into the water after the Israelis got into trouble in a rip current, drowned, and was found lifeless 48 hours later. His heroic death deeply moved the Albanian public: "He sacrificed his life to save two others"
Several Israeli tourists had difficulty coping with the currents in Lake Kudra, Albania. The captain of the boat came to their aid, saved their lives, but drowned himself.
