On Tuesday night, a coffin was transferred to Israel under the claim that it was that of a kidnapped man, one of the 13 remaining in Hamas captivity. However, after an examination at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, it was found that it was the remains of the kidnapped Ofir Sarfati, who was returned in an IDF operation in November 2023.
The IDF is preparing for the possibility of transferring two kidnapped martyrs today at 4:00 PM. According to Hamas statements this week, these may be the martyrs Sahar Baruch and Amiram Kuper.
