The Idea of Reducing the Speed Limit in Lithuania Has Been Revived Due to Rising Fuel Prices

As fuel prices rise, proposals to reduce speed on motorways and expressways are back - supposedly drivers would use less fuel by driving below the permitted speed limit. Vilnius University associate professor Algirdas Bartkus argues on LRT RADIO's "Golden Age" program that the proposal is ambiguous. At the same time, Finance Minister Kristupas Vaitiekūnas adds that a safe speed should be the driver's choice.
