Doctors have vaccinated more than 112,000 people against hepatitis A this year, which is almost double the number last year. This was announced by the Ministry of Health (MZd). The Czech Medical Society of Jan Evangelista Purkyně (ČLS JEP) considers this year's more than 1,800 cases of hepatitis A, which is the second highest number since 1989, to be an epidemic. It is therefore calling for vaccination, which it says is safe and reliable.
