Green Party dropped from leaders' debates for not running enough candidates
The Leaders' Debate Commission has revoked the Green Party's invitation to the federal leaders' debates due to not meeting participation criteria.
The Green Party was polling at less than three percent and had 232 candidates running, failing to meet the conditions needed for debate participation.
Liberal Leader Mark Carney will need to perform well in the debates, as previous polls suggest he has at least 40 percent support in Quebec despite concerns about his French language skills.
Health care is not on the agenda for the debates, even though it is a significant voter concern.
It is this Wednesday evening that the debate of the leaders will take place and the first thing that comes to mind is the absence of the Green Party, according to Mario Dumont.
