The Komárom-Esztergom County Government Office has ordered the closure of the 110-year-old Esztergom beach with immediate effect. The decision was made due to the violation of disinfection regulations and the lack of the necessary operating regulations. The municipality is contesting the decision, and according to the city's mayor, Ádám Hernádi, legal action has been considered to challenge it.

According to the office, the chlorine level in the bath water is high.
