The state will prepare measures to cap the margins of fuel traders. According to the government, they are inadequate in some cases. This was stated by Finance Minister Alena Schillerová (ANO) at a press conference after a cabinet meeting on Monday.
According to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), the current margins at gas stations are inadequate. The average purchase price of fuels in March was CZK 40.70. Prices, especially around highways, are around CZK 49, Babiš said. According to him, the margin for gasoline should be CZK 2.50 per liter and CZK 3.50 per liter for diesel.
