The Catalan government, at its Executive Council meeting this Tuesday, approved awarding the Creu de Sant Jordi (Cross of St. George) of the Generalitat to twenty individuals in 2026. Among those honored are journalist Julia Otero, actors Sílvia Munt and Enric Majó, and, posthumously, chef Fermí Puig. The Catalan government also agreed to grant the award to ten organizations, including the Ernest Lluch Foundation and the Pau Casals Foundation.
