The Gnome Foundation has appointed Steven Deobald as new managing director. Steven Deobald brings decades of experience in the fields of free software, open design and open documentation to the foundation, the Foundation informs. The new managing director has been a Gnome user since 2002 and has participated in numerous initiatives for free software during his career.
