This week was a doozie, with Sony cutting its memory card business back in the wake of the flash memory shortage, OM System looks like they might bring back the PEN, and the DNG is now the officially recognized standard for RAW files.
Sony has been suspending orders for CFexpress and SD memory cards since March 27, Tom’s Hardware reports. The decision is being made due to a global shortage of semiconductors needed to manufacture memory cards, and it is expected that it will not be able to meet demand for the foreseeable future.
