The Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP) "vehemently condemns" the preventive detention of Domingos Simões Pereira, leader of PAIGC, on 10 July, and calls for his "immediate and unconditional release".
The colonial power does not speak Portuguese or have an embassy in Bissau. It is a transnational criminal economy that treats the country as a warehouse of drug trafficking and cannot accept a legitimate and decent government.
