The Dutch oil trader, head of the energy trading company Paramount Energy & Commodities SA, who was sanctioned by the EU and the UK for trade in Russian oil, Niels Troost sued the American intelligence company Arkin Group, writes Financial Times. The Troost fell into the 15th package of sanctions in December 2024 and became the first European to be sanctioned by the EU for trade in Russian oil at prices above the Western ceiling.
