The European Parliament has called for Russian drones and aircraft that violate EU airspace to be shot down.
MEPs have approved a resolution urging EU countries to collectively take decisive action in response to Russian provocations in EU airspace. The resolution was adopted in Strasbourg by 469 votes to 97, with 38 MEPs abstaining.
In a resolution, the House condemns "the reckless and escalating actions of Russia" following episodes in Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania, with invasions of its airspace, in addition to the incursions of drones into infrastructures in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
