Water samples from Pyynikki in Tampere do not indicate the pathogen. Tampere Environmental Health Services has received a total of approximately 300 reports of illness related to the Pyynikki epidemic. Several cases of stomach illness have been detected in the Pyynikki area of Tampere. According to a city press release, the cause is likely a virus-caused epidemic.
