Alba Iulia launched on Monday a public offer of municipal bonds in euro, worth up to 30 million euros. The money will be used to finance infrastructure projects under way and to finance a part of the local public debt.
The Romanians will be able to directly borrow the Alba Iulia Municipality, which launches a public bond offer of up to 30 million euros. The minimum investment is 1,000 euros, the maturity of the bonds is 10 years, and investors can subscribe to an interest of EURIBOR 6M plus a margin of 2.50%-2.90%, i.e. a total of about 5.5%. The interest will be paid quarterly.
