The Chinese authorities approved the Mprosevir, a product from COVID-19, which used artificial intelligence to develop it. This is the first innovative IE-made drug in the PRC to report to the University of Sihu. The drug received conditional approval from the Chinese NMPA regulator.
The authorities classified it as a class 1 drug, a category reserved for compounds that have not previously been marketed in China or abroad, and that also present a new chemical structure, an original mechanism of action and a clear clinical value. It is noted that Mprosevir has been developed by specialists from the University of Sihu and university-related scientific and pharmaceutical organizations and is intended to treat adult patients with light and medium forms of COVID-19.
