The Chilean Navy Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOA) and the Antarctic Foundation21 signed a collaboration agreement at Explorers House in Punta Arenas that will allow the installation of a specialized sensor on board the Magellan Explorer, and soon, the Magellan Discoverer, which will collect georeferenced bathymetric data on the operation of these ships in the Antarctic Peninsula.
