Croatian national history is permanently marked by May 1945. On this day, we remember the beginning of the suffering of the Croatian people after World War II. Bleiburg Field in Austria is the place from which columns of disarmed soldiers and civilians set out, many of whom lost their lives along the way. The memories of the survivors and the commemorations remain.
